How can we expect kids to be the future stewards of the earth if they don't feel connected to it?
In an effort to help bridge the gap between children and the environment, I've created "Dune's Island," a video learning series that aims to teach kids stewardship and coastal science concepts in a fun and engaging way through stories and characters. This community-based series is made in partnership with the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, Florida, and is comprised of episodes, support documentaries and tie-in curriculum for grades K-5 written by a team of science teachers. Everyone involved with the project is an educator or volunteer (myself included.) "Dune's Island" is completely donation-driven...if you think it's a valuable resource, please consider contributing to help support the project. Thanks in advance!
